Meet The Hygienists
I have been a practicing dental hygienist in Tucson, Arizona since 1995. After attending Arizona State University, I received my Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College. The field of dental hygiene is rapidly evolving. To keep current and continue advancing my clinical skills, I attend numerous continuing education courses in all fields of dentistry as well as read professional publications. I am also a member of the Arizona Dental Association. Most recently, I have become State Certified in Soft Tissue Laser Therapy. Since 1996, I had worked in the same dental practice. For the past 20 years I have worked in the same dental practice. As of January 2017, I transitioned to Dr. Bell’s practice. Here, I have been afforded the opportunity to treat our patients with the tools and technology of dental hygiene above the standard of care. I am pleased to continue working with all my long-term patients and look forward to establishing new ones. I enjoy treating and maintaining my patient’s periodontal health and smiles at this practice. I am married and have two amazing children. My wife is a practicing dental hygienist as well. Outside of work, I enjoy family, exercise, sports (especially U o A), and numerous outdoor activities.
I am a Tucson native and a Mother of 2. I have been in dentistry since 2002 and still love it! I am blessed to be able to help and educate people everyday. I love what I do. Wife of an Air Force guy, we love the outdoors. My family and I enjoy camping, lake trips and fun weekends in the sand dunes. We also have 2 fur babies, Gabby and Kane.
My name is Donna Howard. I grew up in Oracle, AZ. I have this passion to help and educate people. I received three degrees in search of figuring out what I wanted to do for a living. I found Dental Hygiene to be the best way for me to take care of people for the past 17 years. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking our Arizona trails with my son, spending time in our cabin in the White Mountains with my dog and best man, and reading books.
I grew up in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and joined the United States Air Force with high aspirations of becoming a dental hygienist. My experience with the USAF was truly a rewarding experience of service and of discipline as a radar technician. But I still dreamed of becoming a dental hygienist. After an honorable discharge, I used my GI Bill towards my degree at Northern Arizona University graduating in 1991 with my bachelors in dental hygiene. I have been passionate about patient care ever since. I am happy to add that I am Laser certified. I have been an enthusiastic member of our national state and local societies since I graduated and I have volunteered many years of service as both a delegate and trustee to these societies.
My name is Kaya. I am a native Arizonan and grew up right here in Northwest Tucson. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in merchandising. I decided to go back to school for dental hygiene and graduated from Pima Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1997. I began working with Dr. Dan Hornsby in January of 1998. While the majority of my experience has been in general and cosmetic dentistry, I have also worked in a periodontal practice specializing in the treatment of gum disease and implant care. I truly enjoy my coworkers and my patients, and am proud to help them achieve optimal oral health and a great smile. I have been married to my husband, Matthew, for over 20 years. He is an officer with the Tucson Police Department canine unit. We have two amazing boys, Nathan and Kellan, who are my absolute pride and joy. I love traveling, especially to explore our National parks. I enjoy camping, hiking, photography, Bible study and spending time with my family.

It is important to her that each of you enjoy a feeling of ease and confidence in our office. Her positive energy is felt by everyone, and she truly appreciates the tentative care our doctors and team strive to provide, as individuals and collectively, to each patient. When she is not glued to a computer screen or assisting patients, she spends time working in her garden, cooking, enjoying the outdoors, and spending as much time as possible with her adorable Granddaughters.
